Some pictures of our stay at the lovely, Carrick View, Portincaple, Scotland.

Carrick View, Portincaple

Tim writes:  Last year, we had a little road trip up to the west coast of Scotland and through the Cairngorms, which was absolutely amazing.  This year, we were supposed to be in Malaga, but cancelled it due to Covid.  We decided instead to come back up to the west coast of Scotland.

On our last trip, the weather was incredible, 24c most days. Sadly, it looked gloomy this week, which was disappointing, but each day the forecast changed, and the sun made an appearance on most days.  As I write this now, I’ve had to come inside for a bit because it’s too hot!

Carrick View is advertised on Unique Cottages.  We were lucky enough to be the very first people to rent from the owners, who are lovely and couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was right for us.

The cottage is brand new, and everything inside is modern and stylish.  But what really stands out is the view from the patio.  We never grew tired of looking out over the water.  There’s always something going on.  Weather changing, boats coming in, and I even spotted a Golden Eagle getting harassed by a crow.

We are already thinking about our next trip back!
