Route description
We spent our Christmas in a cottage in Hawkshead village. Arriving on Christmas Eve we used the night to get a few bits and pieces ready for the following day’s dinner and had a reasonably early night, so that we could be out nice and early.
And our plan was perfect, because we arrived at Tarn Hows when there was only one other person there. Usually the place is packed, but we just about had this beautiful tarn all to ourselves. It was a chilly, frosty morning and the conditions were perfect for flying the drone. Take a look at this beautiful flyover here, and make sure 4k is selected if you can!
