Nicky Nook walk

Tim, Waj & Dan take a Saturday morning walk up to Nicky Nook trig point, coming back along Grizedale Reservoir.  This short 3 mile walk is easily accessed from Scorton and can be done in around an hour at a good pace.

Despite being quite popular there’s normally plenty of spaces on Snowhill Lane, just before it joins with Higher Lane – and from there it’s a short but climb up some well marked steps before reaching the open fell.

The views are fantastic, behind you is the coast, and the Lakes on a clear day.  And at the top of Nicky Nook you can see out to the Bowland Fells – to the north is Ward’s Stone, the Forest of Bowland’s highest Fell.

This Nicky Nook walk is great for all the family, including your dogs.

We do last did this walk in December 18 and some wintry photos can be seen here.
