Longridge Fell

Longridge Fell is a walk we’ve done many times.  Tim lived around the corner and has spent many hours exploring the entire fell.  The route taken taken today was the classic walk from Jeffrey Hill up to Longridge Fell trig point, coming back through the plantations.

The summer has not been great so far but this evening we had glorious sunshine and great visibility, seeing as far out to Snowdonia.

This is a short walk, only 3 miles, and can be reached in about 20 minutes from Preston.  It’s ideal for dogs but make sure they’re on a lead as there are usually sheep grazing.
