A bank holiday walk in Bolton Abbey, enjoying the sunny weather.  Parking down at the abbey was a no-no due the sheer amount of people out enjoying the holiday sunshine, so the alternative was to park further along at the Strid Wood Tea Rooms, and to walk back down towards the abbey.

Said to be the country’s most dangerous stretch of water (some say the world’s most) The Strid is a small section of the River Wharfe that has a deadly combination of raging torrents and rocks under the water.  It is said that people have died by falling in so stay well back as there are no ropes or barriers.
